A business startup idea that’s going to be huge…unwieldy and soft.

What is it? Only the next big thing in the fitness industry, that’s what.

Forget your treadmills and your weights and your spinning (whatever that is). This is a low cost idea just made for entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone else out there looking for a new business start up idea with minimal overheads and very low risks.

The idea came to me as I was indulging in a spot of pre Christmas house cleaning. Basically, I had bought a new mattress and was getting rid of the old one it was replacing. A single mattress, as it happens – but it works with a double or even a king size.

I live in a low rise apartment block and to get rid of the mattress, I had to wrestle it down the stairs of the building. Actually, I kicked it most of the way down the stairs and then wrestled it out the front door and over the road to the spot where the bin men pick up “larger items” on a designated day of the week.

I can’t tell you how good I felt after I’d wrestled that m***** f***** on to the street. Exhilarated doesn’t begin to describe it. Like I’d just gone 20 rounds with a punch bag – and won.

So this is the business start up idea: get yourself a whole load of old mattresses, set them up in a community hall and charge people to wrestle with them. Brilliant.
