Types of Events
Iain Scott’s is renowned as an inspirational speaker and a teacher of enterprise. His events are interactive and touch the right chord with his audience by making the discussion and development of enterprise relevant, productive and, above all, fun. For Iain the focus rests on the entrepreneurs in the room, not on a grandstanding show of “how I became a mega businessman”.
Enterprise Therapy
Iain’s business therapy sessions are essentially interactive ‘health check’ appointments delivered over half/full or multiple day workshops. In these, Iain covers a specific subject of enterprise for entrepreneurs and those growing their business by helping them stand back from their business and identify what they want to achieve.
Enterprise Programmes
Enterprise Island Programmes are interactive and productive courses talking and walking entrepreneurs through specific problem areas that need to be understood in starting or growing a business.
Professional Development Workshops
The seminars offer a different experience in which Iain essentially gives a presentation on any enterprise related theme, although often related to the regeneration of an area through enterprise. Among the topics covered are ‘Enterprise and Schools’, ‘How people become entrepreneurs’ and ‘The VAT myth – how growth businesses are really formed.’
Enterprise Island Challenge and Regeneration Programmes
Iain Scott and his Enterprise Island team create and encourage enterprise through the Enterprise Island Challenge programmes. These workshops have a proven success rate in developing and encouraging small business start-ups in tough, economically deprived areas of the UK. Regeneration is often the name of the game, and Iain has unparalleled experience in discovering ‘hidden’ entrepreneurs from these areas and teaching them how to start and grow a business in spite of the challenges that their surroundings create.
